Attended a wedding function there last night. The setting is rural rustic with a natural setting. It boasts the perfect "shearing shed" adorned with eclectic style trimmings that make it a perfect setting for various functions. The owner was so lovely and accommodating, allowing access for my elderly parents with walkers and wheel chairs to enjoy the family occasion in comfort. The drive to the venue is remote and the dirt road handles non SUV cars perfectly. There is signage nailed in trees that reassure you are on the right track and before you know it you are in a clearing surrounded by native flora and fauna. A real hidden treasure on the North West of Tasmania's amazing bushland. There is also air BnBs very close by if you are requiring accommodation (but get in quick as they book out fast).
We stayed in the glamping tents at this place. Wow what an experience. It was cold outside but in the tent with the little wood heater it was toasty warm. I had an electric blanket on my bed. We had a huge outdoor fire that we sat around. There is a camp kitchen where we cooked mash potatoes and steak. I saw a cute possum and the stars, don't get me started on the stars. This place is in the middle of the bush and well away from any city so the sky is awash with stars. I saw the biggest meteor flash down in the western sky, never seen one so big. Love love 😍 this place. Thanks to the very friendly staff who make sure you have all you need then they leave you alone to enjoy it. Thanks Maureen.
There aren't enough adjectives in the English language to describe our time at Sandridge estate. Perfect, beautiful, wonderful, fun, comfortable, fun, lovely, blissful, fun, memorable, magical, amazing, more fun. thank you so much Maureen Roger Samantha and all your offsiders who were part of our magical Halloween wedding. We can't wait to glamp with you again! 😄😄😄
